Foster Plus Partners, the company that designed Old Trafford, has revealed a revamped stadium with a new urban plan around it football.

It is estimated that once complete, there will be 92,000 new jobs, 17,000 new homes and 1.8 million more people visiting the city per year. Oxford Economics believes the new development will boost the UK economy by £7.3 billion a year.
“This could be the biggest regeneration project this country has ever undertaken.” said Andy Burnham, mayor of Greater Manchester.
Old Trafford has the home of Manchester United since 1910. With the new stadium expect to be completed in 2030.
The club set up an Old Trafford Regeneration Task Force to explore feasibility options for modernising its infrastructure. The task force, which is chair by Lord Coe and features club legend Gary Neville. And Greater Manchester mayor Andy Burnham was convened in March by the club’s new co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe.
