Marcus Rashford dream destination has reportedly been revealed after he announced his desire to leave Manchester United for a new challenge.
Rashford has left out of Manchester United’s squad for Sunday’s derby win over Manchester City before he reveal his future ambitions.
The 27-year-old stunned fans and Ruben Amorim when he announced in a shock interview while visiting his old school on Tuesday that he was ready for the next step in his career after two decades at the club.
Rashford has underperform since signing a new £325,000-a-week contract last year, which made him the club’s highest-paid player, and it is believe he needs to leave Old Trafford to rediscover his best form.
Amorim has hit back at Rashford’s claims he wants to leave the club by insisting he wants to keep hold of the forward for the future, but the Daily Mail has previously revealed the club would be willing to sell for around £40million.
Rashford’s future could be abroad, with his dream destination reportedly in Spain, with the player keen on a move to La Liga, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The Manchester United star is believe to have identified the Spanish top flight as his preferred destination, but no club has made a formal bid for the 13-time Premier League champions.
Real Madrid or Barcelona are likely to be among the favourites for the England international, but it would be difficult for either club to secure a deal for a player who has scored just 15 goals in all competitions since the start of last season.
Atletico Madrid could be another target, with Diego Simeone’s side having signed compatriot Conor Gallagher from Chelsea in the summer.
